First Peter five eight tells us, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” and the next verse gives us a command,“Resist him!” Welcome back to Victorious Life with Pastor David Crespo! We continue our topical study that Pastor David has titled, “The Strategy Of Satan And How To Overcome” we pick back up as David explains the second thing that Satan likes to do to prevent us from being successful followers of Christ. Now let’s join Pastor David!1 Peter 5:8
Thank you for joining us on another edition of Victorious Life! Pastor David Crespo opens up today’s study in prayer and thanks God for all that he has done. He asks that God would do a great work in our hearts and that we would be transformed as we study God’s Word. Pastor David shares with us a message that alerts us to the creatures that dwell among us, the creatures that we don’t always see, the adversaries that interact with us on a regular basis that try to keep us in bondage and ruin our lives! We turn to the bible to learn how to overcome their strategies… Now, Let’s listen in!1 Peter 5:8
In John 13:34, Jesus said” A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Today on VICTORIOUS LIFE, Pastor David Crespo continues in Chapter 4 of 1st Peter. Here we find that our love can be demonstrated thru acts of kindness and hospitality.1 Peter 4:7-19 1 Peter 5:1-14
In the end, the believer is not appointed to God’s wrath, but rather to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. And this salvation comes thru His grace, and not our works. But our works do have value. They will be tested, as by fire, and those that remain will bring eternal rewards.
Today on VICTORIOUS LIFE, Pastor David Crespo continues in Chapter 4 of 1st Peter where we hear that we are to be busy about God’s work.1 Peter 4:7-19 1 Peter 5:1-14
The more we experience the goodness of God, the more we’re compelled to share Him with others, especially with those close to us. Of course, they may not be ready to listen, but the chances are always better when they can see can see the power of God at work in our own lives.
Today on VICTORIOUS LIFE, Pastor David Crespo continues in Chapter 4 of 1st Peter where we learn the value of a good witness and a clear conscience.1 Peter 3:21-22 1 Peter 4:1-6
As Pastor David Crespo explained at the start, of his teaching in 1st Peter, one of the themes of this book is how we are to respond to suffering. Unfortunately, all too often, this suffering comes at the hand of others. But even then, we are not to return evil for evil.
Today on VICTORIOUS LIFE, Pastor David expands on this theme as he continues in chapters 3 and 4 of 1st Peter.1 Peter 3:21-22 1 Peter 4:1-6
There’s a good chance when we were young we’ve used our words to purposely hurt others, just to hear our mother or father say “If you don’t have anything good to say, then don’t say anything at all.
Today on VICTORIOUS LIFE, Pastor David Crespo, picks up where he left of last time in chapter 3 of 1st Peter, where Peter tells to do what is right, despite difficult people or challenging circumstances, because in reality, we are already blessed.1 Peter 3:8-20
When running a marathon, a great part of the reward is simply finishing the race, finishing well to the best of our ability. If we were to quit before the finish line, when the going gets tough, all of the preparation and sacrifice would be wasted, and the reward of finishing well would be lost.
Today on VICTORIOUS LIFE, Pastor David Crespo, continues in chapters 2 and 3 of 1st Peter, where he draws from the text that it is always too soon to quit on God.1 Peter 3:8-20
It is right to submit to authority with a right heart, as unto the Lord. Paul tells us in Hebrews to “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.”
Today on THE VICTORIOUS LIFE, Pastor David Crespo, continues in chapters 2 and 3of 1st Peter, to expand on God’s principal of submission.1 Peter 2:13-25 1 Peter 3:1-7
It is not in our nature to be submissive. I our minds, it is better to command and dominate. However, the Lords thoughts are higher than our thoughts. He exalts the humble and says that the meek will inherit the earth.
Today on THE VICTORIOUS LIFE, Pastor David Crespo, continuing in chapters 2 and 3of 1st Peter, explains that it is right to submit to authority, as unto the Lord.1 Peter 2:13-25 1 Peter 3:1-7
